Two power classes are available, each in two cable lengths. The NRGkick charging cable measures either 5 m or 7,5 m and terminates in a permanently attached Type 2 connector on the vehicle side.

If space is limited in the vehicle, the shorter version is preferable: it weighs less and can be stored more compactly. However, if the charging port is located on the far side of the vehicle, the 7,5 m version offers noticeably more space.

Permanently installed wallboxes require a wall bracket and an appointment with an electrician. The NRGkick wallbox charges using one-, two-, or three-phase power and, depending on the connection, achieves up to 22 kW without requiring any drilling into the house wall. All that is required is a professionally installed socket of the appropriate size.

Charging at home, in the garage and on the go with the NRGkick wallbox

In your home garage, the device acts as a charging station; when traveling, it's ready in your vehicle. This is made possible by a modular plug system: the charging unit always remains the same; only the adapter on the mains side is changed. This way, you can cover your second home, vacation property, and business location with a single device.

Each NRGkick adapter informs the charging unit of the current capacity of the respective connection upon plugging it in. This automatic plug detection prevents accidental charging at 32 A from a standard household socket. Thermal management, a self-test before each charging process, and integrated residual current protection complete the safety concept.

How precisely can the power be regulated? The charging current can be adjusted in 0,1 A increments , a level of precision rarely offered by permanently installed charging stations. The practical benefit becomes apparent with older household electrical connections: they reduce the power output to such an extent that the stove, heat pump, and charging process don't all trip the circuit breaker simultaneously.

Connected to a 16 A three-phase power supply, the device delivers the same power as a permanently installed 11 kW wallbox , but without the installation. Static load management permanently limits the charging power to a preset value, while peak shaving additionally reduces individual load peaks. Operate the device regularly in the same location, set up charging schedules, and charge during off-peak hours.

Control is via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the corresponding app. A free local interface with JSON and Modbus allows NRGkick to be integrated into an existing energy management system. Over-the-air updates keep the software up to date , eliminating the need for a service appointment.

16A or 32A? The right version for your connection

Whether a 16A or 32A charger is suitable depends less on the vehicle and more on the available electrical outlet. If the car is parked overnight, the NRGkick 16A, with up to 11 kW, reliably covers the power demand. For households with one vehicle and a typical driving profile, this power class is generally sufficient. The NRGkick 11kW version is also the more affordable option, starting at €777.

The NRGkick 32A operates significantly faster on a three-phase 32A connection. This halves the operating time compared to the lower power class and is particularly noticeable with large batteries and multiple vehicles. Businesses with company cars therefore usually opt for the NRGkick 22kW version.

The actual power output depends on the plug adapter. It sits between the mains power supply and the charging unit and is intentionally sold separately because charging requirements vary from location to location. Compare the three adapters we list based on the common connection types:

The Schuko adapter charges slowly, but it saves the day in any situation without a three-phase power connection. Two adapters on one charging unit eliminate the need for a second charging station if you charge at home and at work. A fixed 22kW wallbox remains the better choice where several vehicles drive to the same location in succession every day.
