Does a wallbox require a high-voltage connection?

Wallboxes consume a lot of energy and therefore require high voltage. The technical requirements for installing a wallbox include a three-phase high voltage connection. In addition, an earth leakage circuit breaker is required and the power line must be professionally protected.

Does a wallbox have to be registered?

To install a 11 kW wall box you do not need permission from the grid operator. Charging stations with a higher output must be approved by the operator of your local electricity grid.

Can I install my wallbox in the garage?

Installing a wallbox in the garage is permitted by law. For many electric car owners, this is the safest and most convenient option. A wallbox can also be installed if you rent a garage or parking space, as long as you, as the renter, cover the costs.
